Sorry, I missed that above post from Mex before I started things. Too late?
Got it installed and on Trimetric, no charging, parasitic loads under an amp. Voltage 13.0 (Tri only does one decimal point)
Turned on converter set at 13.8, amps went to plus 8ish then tapered fairly quickly down to 0.4ish and below. Decided that meant battery was full. ??
Turned off converter, turned on 31.5 amps worth of lights and fans. Voltage dropped to 12.1 and held there for 15 minutes, then went up to 12.2 and held there for another 15 minutes and beyond-still there. I will leave that on for some more time, observe bounce- back voltage, then recharge back to full at 14.4ish spec (plus a bit for 52F temp) and let amps fall to near zip, then drop it to 13.8 float.
So far I think things look fairly decent ??, but I would like to do a full 10 hour run at the 20 hr rate (12.5a) to 50% SOC to get some actual capacity notion. Can't do that today.
