MEXICOWANDERER
Apr 21, 2018Explorer
It's amazing the number of AGM batteries that are sold for automotive use versus RV use. Perhaps one in twenty or forty as a guess.
When an AGM transcends from a 1% cycle duty to 40-50% or even "Honey start the generator the lights are getting dim again" is when things get absurd. Most people haven't a clue not the dimmest glimmer about how important it is to charge the battery by the numbers.
"Half an hour, shut of the generator already"
The converter, a vast majority of them are too small and have the psychosis of a Hungarian actress to be boondocked. Yet it happens every day of the year.
After babysitting mine and troubleshooting theirs, I am tired of dealing with destructive corrosion due to negative plate antimony poisoning.
"****! I didn't realize replacing all those cables was going to cost that much" has been fatal to many jobs. Unless it was done right I would decline the work. Because shortcutting and sleazing a project to please the owner is the surest road to a deserved bad reputation.
I have a Lifeline sitting 30" astride my bed. It cost a lot of money. I respect that. So rather than cling to a recliner clicking a remote 100% of my free time I rob a huge 1% or is it a quarter percent? Taking care of my investment.
"You're very wealthy do you have a recreational vehicle and go camping?"
"No. But if I did I have people that'd do that for me"
