Are you talking about the solenoid that allows for the coach batteries to be charged by the engine when the engine is running or a switch that you turn off to stop parasitic battery draw?
If it is the battery isolator that prevents the engine battery from being discharged by the coach, you can end up stranded if you bypass it because your engine battery can be killed by the using power in the coach without running the engine.
