Battery model numbers.

I was just dumbstruck by the coincidence of labeling of a Trojan T1275 battery... as it turns out that 12V and 75 Amp hours is exactly the 50% SOC volts and Amp hours that this battery is capable of.

Coincidence? Are there any other models, like the T875 in the Trojan lineup that have the same thing in the name /model number?

Is a T105 really a reference to the 50% state of charge really being 105 Amp hours? Just no mention of the voltage being 6V ?

    Interstate U-2200, 220 amp hours.

Many companies use model numbers that are descriptive.. Many do not. What can I say.

What kind of impulse shopper are you anyway :) ?

Frugal and Impulsive shopper should never be used together in the same sentence. A year or two as a professional Purchasing Agent procuring all kinds of aerospace type metal materials, and getting them plated cured me of that. I can squeeeeze a penny 10 ways to a dime, with just my butt cheeks!

Yes the T105 used to be 210 amp hours.

Ok, so I was never the sharpest tool in the shed... Sure is nice when the model number has an actual connotation to the capabilities of the battery and it's specifications. Much more useful than a 16L or a group 27 DC.

Too much time as an old teenager in the Sears DieHard battery shop with meaningless model #'s for batteries for cars.
