It's automatic, based on what battery data you put in. It counts current/time in and out, and gives you the net result at any given moment. Helps in bean-counting if your state of affairs requires it. So this can be "good". Whether it's "true" - is another question :)
Besides AH-counting function, you'll get as a bonus an awfully bright digital V/A meter in your room.
