Hi, what are the latest recommendations for a good deep cycle battery for my trailer? I want wet flooded; not AGM. In a Group 24 size. I'll need two. My local RV shop recommends Interstate at $116 ...

Telephone them and ask if that battery is as cyclable meaning rendering competitive discharge life numbers to their 220 A/H GC220. If they give a vague answer ask them for the 5 amp hour rate. Truly cyclable batteries boast of their 1 amp hour rate. To hasten their hanging up -
"What is the positive plate thickness in thousandths of an inch?"
Or, "WAIT! WAIT! What is the percentage of positive plate antimony?"
