Battery under load

I've been looking for an answer to a specific question, on past discussions on other forums and I also have an open topic on another forum but it always gets into the weeds of what batteries and what charger are the batteries really charged and on and on.
But here it is. I want to intermittently run the furnace overnight. I have 2 marine 12's in parallel ( not getting GC 6's till these give up the ghost). Starting with 12.6v when I turn on the furnace (7amps)
the voltage drops to 12.2. I know that after an hour when the load is removed the batteries will return to 12.6 and after 2 hours 12.4.
So while common knowlege is not to run them below sat 11.9, you are getting a false reading of actual voltage when under load. So what is a practical number to allow them to drop to without doing damage? I'm thinking 11.7.
