smk, I asked Mex about storage in parallel with the float charge going, and I "think he said" it was still bad for interactions of mixed batteries.
Right now, until you and Mex sort this out, it seems you are telling opposite stories on that.
With no float the differences become apparent. The lower resting voltage of one battery will pull down the other. In the OP case above I don't know if it significant or not.
With a float charge all batteries are above resting with energy going in only. None of the batteries will drag the others down... they just pull from the charger that continuously supplies power.
