Again .04 volt is nothing.
Good stuff Mex'!
Again, I am seeing a maximum resting difference of only ~.08V. I don't think that anything is "wrong" at all, as a matter of fact I think that most everything is good. And I am loving the education I'm getting from exploring this!
Odyssey says to test at 50% of CCA for 15sec, no surprise that this is exactly what you recommend. However, these batteries have a CCA rating of 1150A and a spec' of 1750AMPS for 20 seconds! No way in heck can I do close to half of that! I do have a 500A carbon pile battery tester and they have taken everything that thing can throw at them for 30 seconds without even batting an eye.... very hot & smelly by the way (the tester that is).
I am currently doing an CV overcharge at 15.0V for an hour on each batter separately. The initial charge current I saw was ~3.5A but very quickly dropped to 0.4A. I have seen no change in battery temp' (73ºF).
I can easily do a longer "precision" CV charge at any voltage I choose (in 0.1V increments). The charger can do over 100A.
The 20A/240min test is a piece of cake too... I have done a similar test in the past and data-logged it. It'd be easy to extrapolate kWh from that.
Can you provide some additional info about square wave testing??
Cheers
