Don't worry about it not being a 4 stage... it just means it gives the batts a blast at about 14.8v occasionally. It's not true equalizing, anyway. Keep the batts full on a regular basis, and don't let them sit in a discharged state, and they'll be fine. And full means FULL, not near full. List what batts you bought, and several here can tell you what they'll need for proper charging.
