But.... RVs are, in fact, covered by the National Electric Code, having an entire chapter devoted to RVs and manufactured housing. Those outlets and switches are, in fact, UL listed.
That said, the OPs rig is wired incorrectly if the refrigerator is not downstream of the GFCI.
Thanks! I knew mfg and mobile homes were covered but didn't realize RVs were also covered by the NEC. I guess that's because I've seen so many things in my RVs over the years that would not pass normal residential code. My frig is definitely upstream of the bathroom's GFCI and not protected by it.
I have mixed feelings about that. On one hand, I don't have to worry about an outside extension cord tripping the GFCI and causing food to spoil. But it could be very dangerous to be standing outside on wet ground messing around with the frig AC outlet!
