There's about 15 factors involved. What's the BEST tow vehicle? What's the BEST vacation? What's the BEST state to RV in?

I chose the BEST battery yesterday for my toad. How? Well I was THERE in the parking lot when the old one quit. On a holiday weekend,

Not looking at price, just the best bang for the buck. Have to run a cpap machine, furnace ,and maybe the TV when its raining out, lights. We do ,some cold weather camping. Right now 2 12 volt batteries, would 2 6 volts be better? Thank you
2x GC2 would have more capacity than 2x G24 or about the same as 2x G27 or G29. If you really need more capacity look at 4x GC2.

Might be best to verify how you are charging the batteries assuming you are using a generator. There are some OEM converters that are great but most are sad to miserable. Have you ever checked that you are getting 14.2+ volts on the battery terminals?

  • I get my GC2 at Costco and seem to be a good value.
I agree lithium would be far better but the value might be a stretch unless you were close to full time off-grid.

  • If you do not camp in the cold then look at LI technology. There is a high initial cost.

What do you plan on running while dry camping?
  • Well, there's price, longevity, maintenance, capacity. etc. Best usually means price around here. Lithium is best.
