I got a deal on 500 high intensity green 20ma LED's
Blinking 20 ms per second astable circuit
But 12 volt rated circuit.
Couldn't resist the $3.30 price for all the LEDs.
Basically looking to buck AC 127vac to 12 volts DC. Cheap and reliable. Size and price are important.
The handy boxes I purchased and blanks are black meaning sunlight UV resistant. Thick. I'd hate to start over ordering hobby boxes because they are flimsy and expensive if waterproof.
I sure wish there was a wireless way to monitor multiple circuits for outages. The one's I glanced at were worth more than my car. :( My son-in-law has about $8,000 worth of lobsters and red snapper stored in the three freezers.
Power outages are a way of life down here. Rain forest soil is unstable in places. Some of the transmission poles are dual, with another pair of poles and guy wires for added support and even they fall down in the 2-mile swamp crossing. Someone said they used about one million tons of steel slag for the roadway base (Mex 200) They can't do that with transmission pole islands I guess.
