Blue plastic water lines -- OK to use PVC cement?

My trailer has the blue/red plastic water lines. I assume these are PVC like in my old trailers, but they use a clamp connection. Is it OK to repair these using PVC joints and cement? I've never ...

x2 different kind of plastic, not compatible with PVC "cement" ... there are solvent welding techniques and fittings for PEX but why bother?

Use the barbed hose-like fittings that easily attach with an inexpensive clamping system, or gasket sealed push-on fittings.
