How do you know it is restricting the flow?
These pumps just don't flow very much. I really doubt that there is a problem with the hose/waterflow. Take a look inside your faucets. They all have a tiny hole that the water goes thru. Much, much smaller than your bent hose.
I actually drilled mine out in the shower fixture to get more flow.
