Brakes pulling to right.

We have a 2015 E350. 2200 miles. Brakes suddenly started pulling to the right on stops. Not too bad later in the day, but still pulls.. Tried backing up numerous times to free up a stuck caliper on left side. No help. Taking the E350 to local Ford dealer is like having a tooth pulled. Any thoughts?
  • Might sound like a silly question, but have you checked the tire pressure?

If it just pulls slightly to the right when you step on the brake I would check the left hand brake line going to your caliper if it is rubber. The rubber swells inside the steel tube where it is attached to the frame and acts as a check valve. On edit I just realized that yours is brand new and not likely the cause.

This 2015 E-Series has 4-wheel disc brakes, so backing/stopping has nothing to adjust like self-adjusting drum brakes. Still, I can see the idea of stopping hard in reverse hoping to disturb a stuck caliper. I don't think that'd be a permanent fix, though.

This problem should really go to Ford under warranty.
  • Did you hit the brakes really firm while backing?
That is supposed to adjust them.

And maybe try another Ford store.
  • Then he either gets a tooth pulled or goes somewhere else and gets their opinion on the problem. Some places diagnose for a 50-60 bucks and he may avoid a dealer he obviously does not like.
  • At ford dealer it is warranty and FREE. Parts and labor at an independent shop will be expensive. Dealer might give you a free rental if it is an extended repair. JMHO.
  • so take it somewhere else. Check rvservicereviews.com for possibilities
