Something else I will bring up that I didn't see mentioned, is a Power management system. I have a PI 50 amp EMS portable system for my 5ver. It reads the voltage and polarity from the post, and it has to be stable before it will let the power flow. This has saved use several time over the years from low/ high voltage, power surges and lightning strikes. The unit is around 300$ and we'll worth the investment.
Last year at the campground right at 10:00 pm the EMS shut the power down. I went to check the reading on it and we were at 104 vac. I looked around the CG and several people were checking power. I rechecked my EMS a few minutes later and the voltage was down to 76 vac. Both AC units had been on and we were just about to go to bed when this happened. If we had been asleep without the EMS we could have lost both AC units. so I feel that it has already paid for its self.
