ISTR in the blurb it said one of the things it can be for is stabilizing a varying input voltage.
The $30 job with both cc and cv adjustable up and down type would be a lot more useful than the down only gizmo I am getting, but I just want to try it out of curiosity. I am hoping derating my 230w panel by covering one cell will bring the voltage down to the gizmo's ratings.
I am happy with my Eco-Worthy 20a MPPT for the 230w panel in real life. I am pretty sure it is just a gussied up one of these buck gizmos though.
