If used with solar, you get a break overnight. I have my Eco-W Float set to 14.4 (Vabs at 14.8) which is working perfectly with my 6s, where I get to 14.8 in the afternoon and then it holds at 14.4 till dark. (it spends no time at 14.8 for some reason, just drops to Float when it hits 14.8)
It is while at that 14.4 Float in PWM mode, no MPPT, that I see the amps can go above the panel's Isc of 8.3, which means the Eco-W is bucking but not in MPPT. So I expect the gizmo would be like that.
