I see no advantage of MPPT only in bulk/boost as compared to a buck converter full-time when the same high voltage panels are in use and watts are conserved at a similar efficiency. Might be better served with a 2 stage circuit for adjustable time at an adjustable Vbulk/abs and then switch to an adjustable Vfloat. Reset could occur upon wakeup when batt V is below some adjustable v (12.3v +-).

Yea, it sounds similar to Bogart Engineering's new Trimetric and controller except for them using only 12v panels. Therefore, not taking advantage of smaller wiring panel-to-controller possibilities of high voltage panels.
