The nearest sunlight open patch other than obliterating my precious garden is 43 meters distant. I could cut down some parota trees and strangler figs but I prefer not to. I live in a savannah jungle. I would series panels to arrive at as near to 80 volts as I could then run wire to the house and rig. The bucker would take the power and translate it into usable 12 volt form. One sixth the amperage. Forty three meters is no joke when attempting to maintain <2% voltage drop. The taller de torno in Lazaro is going to TIG the panels together. If a thief can run off with with a 3 X 5 meter patch of panels under one arm he can have them. I have to stretch chicken wire over the panels (2 meters distance) to thwart local delinquents from lobbing rocks and breaking the panes.
Mex, please clarify "One sixth the amperage" 1/6 of what? or ? what meaning?
IMO the chicken wire will be ok at that distance for shading. A dog exercise pen type fence "shading" part of the 230w panel in the evening low sun doesn't have a noticeable effect and its "wires" are fat compared with chicken wire fencing.
