Noise superimposed on it's sine wave I can understand, less than a perfect sine wave underlying everything I have a problem with. Why wouldn't an oscilloscope on an Onan's output merely show a noisy sine wave shape?
The question is ... what does a converter/charger do with a noisy sine wave as opposed to the less noisy sine wave made up of a whole bunch of steps like what comes from an inverter generator?
BTW, I don't think that PD converter/chargers are power factor corrected.
