Can a new LP regulator go bad?

Had a new regulator installed on my motorhome in July (2 months ago).
Now, when using the stove, for example, the flame on one burner starts out ok but within 20-30 seconds it dies down to nearly nothing.
BTW, I have an outdoor grill with a gas line off my main tank. That line to the grill is located before the regulator and the pressure is fine.
All appliances after the regulator are affected by this problem. The refer won't operate on gas nor will the two furnaces.
Is the fact that the burner flame starts out ok then dies down be an indicator?
Any thoughts? Can a new regulator go bad?

    Well, here's the skinny - got the regulator off. Both the first and second stage had copper shavings in them, no doubt from the copper tubing which the installer at Camping World had to install with the new regulator. So the shavings in the first stage clogged it up and permanently damaged it creating the reduction/stoppage of LP.
    Camping World replaced the regulator and all is good.
    Moral of story: Service not worth what they charge.

    The folks who replaced my one year old regulator said it was a cheap knock-off, and the one they replaced it with was higher quality, a Marshall IIRC.

    Not a bad load of LP. I am long-term where I am and have an external 100 gal tank connected. Am having this issue using either/both tanks.

    Could also be a bad load of propane. Sure wouldn't be the 1st time. What's the chances of air in the tank?

    I've read it could be clogged lines? Also remember it's ALL appliances after the regulator.

    Where is the adjustment located on the regulator? Keep in mind it has worked fine for the past two months so I'm reluctant to suggest it might mot have been set correctly at the factory.

    Well, folks missed the part about this being on a motorhome.

    No pigtail hose used like on a cylinder. MH Tank should be hard-piped or main hose with pipe fitting after regulator.


    Could be:

    Regulator is not opening to meet demand (leaky diaphragm) or it was not properly set at factory
    Should be set to supply enough propane flow for 100% propane demand at 11" WC (0.4 psi)

    OR service valve issue.

    Was one of the fittings replaced the one that screws into/onto service valve?
