I'm not sure where Almot is getting his numbers but actual amp draw is about 117 amps (1400/12) though amp draw will increase slightly as the voltage drops. Puekert only comes into play in regards to the effect the large amp draw has on your capacity.
In this case the equivalent amp draw accounting for Peukert is about 236 amps which means the equivalent draw on the bank is about 12 amp hours for a 3 minute run.
The amp draw won't necessarily harm your batteries and the amp draw for that duration won't be hard to put back. The problem is that with only two batteries the voltage may drop so low that the inverter alarm may come on or worse, will under-voltage shut off.
Try it. It may work if your batteries are tip top full when you start.
