- wcjeepExplorerThe Sleek excels in a low signal environment. It is possible to power the Sleek off a portable battery pack. Test in a movie theater?
Using the Sleek in a good signal environment can degrade signal. Be sure to use actual signal DB level. Do not depend on how many bars are on the screen. Bars are a representation. They are not accurate. Real DB level is more accurate. - mockturtleExplorer III bought my Wilson Sleek months before I was able to test it out. Was not disappointed---it works great. My only concern is how hot it gets after continued use but I guess that's normal.

Weird.
But they have 12v outlets?
No need the Sleek is good because it just requires a standard mini USB cable for power. This means you can plug the USB into either the cigarette lighter adapter it came with or get something like this (pulled randomly from amazon) to run it off AC power

if you get full bars, won't give you any improvement.
Thanks, ktmrfs!
I like when there is helpful information interspersed with the joshing around :). - ktmrfsExplorer IIIassuming you don't have a full set of bars for a signal, and your phone has a way to display signal strength (try using phone setting and phone info, my phones will all give the signal strength in db) check signal strength with and without the sleek.

They are probably talking to aliens, not other humans. (I have never actually been in a Walmart -- although I buy from them online -- all I know is from the People of Walmart website. It may have given me a skewed impression.)
I plugged the Sleek into my van. A green light came on. I put my phone in it and made a phone call, just to be sure nothing 'sploded. But I already had full bars without it. - mockturtleExplorer II
