We already had a couple of shore powered outlets in the rear of the rig. This is where my better 3/4 uses her blow dyer & hair iron. I added an additional outlet in the kitchen for the coffee pot and any thing else we may wanted to use (crock pot, vacuum cleaner, electric heater & etc). IMHO we did not want to run the heavy usage thu the inverter/converter. Our shore power outlets are also tied into our gen so never a draw on the batteries. We never use the microwave without starting the gen which is the only high usage appliance on the inverter/converter outlets. Just what we personally do!
