You guys probably know that drinking RO or distilled water is not really good for you as it removes all of the bad stuff and the good stuff that you need as well...
Make sure that you are getting plenty of vitamins and minerals if you do choose to do this.
Bottled water is another subject altogether. Be sure to read each word on the label very carefully. Each word has a meaning and it may not be what you think. It reminds me of 'pasteurized processed cheese food' that are the most common form of individual wrapped 'cheese' slices, although it is not really cheese, it just looks like it... Every word on labels are important...
ALL Natural water has fecal coliform in it as fish defecate and urine in it, as do animals, just like giving a baby a bottle, they soon do both as well, nature...
I had a friend that worked for a lab that routinely tested bottled water, as required, and you would be surprised at the amount of fecal coliform that was routinely found in bottled water, especially 'natural spring' water. Some companies almost always tested at or above the max level.
All that I will say is that I will not drink Deer Park water, that is if they are still in business, as they were one of the worst back then.
If you are really concerned about the quality of water, I suggest that you dig a bit deeper into actual facts and not go by hearsay. The reports on bottled water, as is municipal water, are available and must be disclosed if inquired... So many people believe what they want to believe instead of seeking facts. LOL
Do keep in mind that every drop of water that has ever been on this earth, with the possible exception of water taken into space, is still here. The same water that dinosaurs urinated and throughout time, man has drank it. Some bacteria is necessary as living in a bubble is not very practical and if you don't have a tolerance, you will most likely suffer with an encounter.
For evidence, just think about the locals in poor countries, their water doesn't affect them, however it can and most likely will affect you.
Drink up me hearties, yo ho!
