Doug - VintageRacerExplorerSome inverters can provide surge current in excess of the supply limit for momentary loads. The new Magnum Hybrid series is one such.

I know there are hard start capacitors for air conditioners, but my question is are there solutions for the entire electrical system. IE: a capacitor which would provide surge current for any load on the system (microwave, AC, or anything else)?
Yes, they are called power factor correction capacitors if you have fairly large inductive loads. Not easy to implement/install for most equipment.
