You might try a USB tape to mp3 converter. I just recently bought one of these to convert my LPs to digital. The software is really easy to use. You just plug the player into your computer's USB port; start the software; start the record/tape; and it automatically selects each song and makes a separate mp3 file from it. You can even add metadata to the files, so you know the name of the artist/album/song, etc., when they play on your digital device(s).
On my MacBook Air laptop, it then automatically uploads the files to my iTunes account, so they are stored on the cloud. That way, I can listen to them on any of my devices, as long as I have an internet connection. If I want to, I can download them onto a device for offline listening.
It has been a blast listening to my old LPs for the first time in 30 years. I found a used unit on Amazon and paid $37 for it. Pretty cheap to be able to resurrect and protect my old music.
