Dump it and go digital. MP3/FLAC/WMA etc. I carry roughly 19,000 tracks and they fit on a 256GB thumb drive.
Most likely the music you're trying to listen to is available on CD at the library. Check them out, rip them, done.
Legal? LOL.. I owned the material at one time or the other. I paid to listen to it. The medium the artist/record company provided to be became obsolete. I updated it. No problems.
