CATV wire

I have a new 5ver and I have not called the customer service yet on this due to the hours I keep at work, etc. Behind my main TV is a cable outlet connection that has two cable connectors on it. Right now it has a small cable wire connecting the two terminals...anyone know why. The rig is so new I have not had time to even try the tv's out yet.

    You guys are the best. Thanks. We just go the new rig a week ago and every day and night has been filled with other pressing things that have a time schedule attached to them. Our first trip isn't until Mid June so I will get to all of this....just no time yet.

    One is from the external hookup, the other is to the cable input on the power supply/wall plate. For park cable use, the jumper stays in place. For satellite use, the satellite receiver goes in place of the jumper.
