Centramatic Wheel Balancers

Anyone have experience with these units? Been thinking about purchasing them but would like some real world feedback.
  • I don't think I've ever heard them.

You should go ahead and get your wheels balanced but probably won't need to do it again until you get new tires.
  • I installed them on the steer wheels only and they have been great. I have never noticed a sound but the ride is excellent.

Thanks for the quick replies. I read one user's reply on another site where he said at low speeds and as the vehicle accelerates one can hear the beads in the Centramatics start spinning and the sound tapers off after a high enough speed. Is that so? I think I found a smoking deal at Hitch Source for $179 for 4 units. Do users not have to have their wheels and tires balanced on a balancer anymore?

:) Hi, you should still have your tires/wheels balanced. Centramatics take care of you un-balanced brake drums and any small changes that can happen with your tires. I only hear mine after a long drive and only at parking lot speeds.

  • I bought mine at Speedco in 2010, they installed them for me and it's been vibration free since.
