I just bought one at Costco for $699. They were running a $100 off promotion that ended on 3/21.
I just got one off the same deal too. Not too loud and will start the 15k.
I just ran mine yesterday. Very quiet, very compact, not too heavy (85#), nice stowaway handle for rolling around, I like it!!
I put hard starts on both A/C's to play it safe.
My Magnum (2800 watt) inverter will run my A/C so my thought is this genset will as well.
I bought this as a backup to my solar system. I am going to give it a try running the A/C as well. As others are reporting it sounds like it should be no problem. - djousmaExplorer

I just saw that Camping World now has a 3500 version that looks like the 3100 only now has a surge load of 3500 watts and 3200 continuous load rating. It also had electric start and a remote. Don't know if they will offer in a cheaper pull start version.
Now if they would only do a fuel injected one....
I saw that too, AND it can be paralleled with another one. I wonder if the 3100 model can be retrofitted with the larger inverter? I didn't compare the specs to see if the engines are the same. that extra 400 watts would make it pretty close to a 30A generator.
The only downside is that they still haven't made an extended run version. I bought my 3100 last summer from an outfit in Florida that added the fuel pump, and external tank connection to it. I attach a 6 gallon marine fuel tank to it with a 8' fuel line.
EDIT: Just checked Champions website. Curiously, they don't list the 3500 model yet. but they do now list a 3100 model that is dual fuel with LP gas, although somewhat downrated. - bikendanExplorer

Where was that a year ago? ARGGGGGG
Rated at 59db at 23 ft too. This could be a EU3000 killer.
DITTO!!!
That's a game changer in the RV generator competition. - FirelimeExplorer

I have one, had a Honda and won't go back to Hondas unless they drop their price in half. You will like the Champion, and they are not loud, like the Honda owners want you to think. - gatorcqExplorerGood unit but a little louder then I like
