Coleman A/C Motor Serviceable?
The Fan Motor in our Coleman Mach 15000 (Model 8335B8914 Serial 030218531) seized up tonight. I had a Zoom Spot Oiler onboard so up I went at 2313, no moon, Harbor Freight flashlignt. The oil wouldn't release the stuck shaft even though I pulled the motor/fan back and oiled the inside fan end as well as the outer fan end. So I gave it one poof of WD-40 and it released immediately. Added some oil and buttoned it up.
OK the question: If I remove the motor and the fans from the motor shafts, can I get the motor apart to clean and lube the bronze bearings? The fasteners I can see look like rivets, but they could be screw heads (like carriage bolts) with nuts on the other end. If I can get it apart (and back together!) I'm sure I can lube it properly.
It's a FASCO motor 1/3-HP 2-Speed Type U18481, E0802. Coleman/RVP Part Number is 1468-3069
