There is also a thermal overload sensor in there that may need replacing, it is cheap part and will shut down the compressor if it detects overheating or its faulty & shorting out. I replaced mine a couple of years back and it fixed the problem. If I recall its a black disk with a pair of wire s leading to it. I think if you unplug it and the compressor comes on, its the problem (or maybe its the other way around, you need to short it out)
Just wanted to post a follow up. I did replace that Thermal overload sensor and this weekend was the first time we got out camping since I had replaced it. The Air ran perfect. So I am hoping that fixed the issue! Time will tell. Thanks for suggestion!
