compressor won't run on Coleman mach 3 ac unit

The compressor is not getting power and I narrowed it down to the motherboard. Topside, the start and run capacitors, overload switch and pctr are good. I am not getting continuity through the compressor relay on the motherboard. I had power going into the relay, but not exiting to the topside. With the motherboard removed, should I be showing continuity through the compressor relay? This is a Coleman Mach 3 AC unit. (Rear). Thanks for any input.

  • The most common failure is the freeze sensor, which will keep the compressor off. Depending on the model, you can jumper the freeze sensor terminals to test. The relay is not wired in a standard way as I remember. They feed power to the whole board through a top terminal.
