convection oven not cooking

I previously had a Panasonic Dimension 4 that worked lots better than my current HIgh Pointe; the High Pointe is what fits, so it is what it is.

The rule is to first determine what your equipment is doing, whether oven, outdoor smoker, fryer etc. In this case, get an oven thermometer and cook it. That will tell you what specific settings actually do.

The OP stated that the problem was with the convection part. This uses a resistive heating element and a fan. No microwave involved. I have a Panasonic brand in my motorhome and in my house. They are different models but both work great. I can cook a 13 lb. turkey using convection and it works amazingly well.

Mine provides surprisingly accurate temperatures up to 375F; above that up to a 450F setting it never gets above 375F. Low power, little insulation, that's to be expected.

In the past, we always had stove/oven combos and thought the convection oven/microwave was inferior for our needs. We actually like it. It cooks evenly - however really only cuts about 5-10 minutes off a conventional oven cook time. Our present convection/micro is twice as big as any tiny gas oven we ever had. The only inconvenience is in the mountains. It's a little bit of a pain to have to start the generator everytime we want to bake, but we've certainly learned to live with it.

It could be a fuse or the control/computerboard. You should be able to find info online and describe your problem for a troubleshooting guide. You may also have one in your manual.

Ours is per neer 15 years old and perks right along. Says it is a GE profile.

Our RV has a convection/microwave oven, and I have found that it works but in spite of claims that it cooks faster than conventional ovens, I've found it to be slower, even accounting for warm up time.

My DW loves her GE Profile convection Microwave! We use the gas oven for storage.
When convection cooking the set temperature is offset 25 to 35 degrees.

There is also a learning curve with the convection & it is no ware as fast as the microwave. Check the manual and make sure you know how to work it. Bought our 1st micro/convection back in the mid 90's. On the second one in the house in that many years.
