Convert Weber Q hose to quick connect

I am trying to convert the hose kit linked below that I bought for my Weber grill that allows me to connect it to a 20lb bottle:

http://www.amazon.com/Weber-6501-Adapter-Q-Series-Go-Anywhere/dp/B0012XXD4Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407198683&sr=8-1&keywords=weber+conversion+kit

I found the quick connect nipple I need but was wondering if there is an adapter that allows me to screw the big green end of the hose (the end that normally screws onto a 20lb bottle) and then converts that to a 1/4" quick connect nipple.

In order for the grill to work halfway decent you will have to remove the regulator on it that the green tank screws into. The RV has it's own regulator on it already and it won't work being double regulated. I removed the regulator on the grill and connected the hose directly to the grill.

That sucks...commits the grill to the camper. Wanted to be able to keep it whole in case I wanted to use it with a 20lb bottle.

I actually took the Q's regulator and put a female quick connect on it. This way I can still use the sm green bottle or the adapter hose to a 20#er if needed.
  • Put the quick disconnect BEFORE the camper regulator, and leave the grills regulator on. That way, it can still be used with a bottle.

you're prettymuch committed to this hose then unless you buy the QD's and build your own. Personally I don't mess with LP crimps

No conversion necessary, the green end screws on your 20lb (or 5 or 11) bottle and the other end screws into the un-modified Weber connector where the disposable bottle would normally go.

I already have that. I want to convert the green end of that into a quick connect.
