Converter battery charger question

Question

I have a WFCO converter &amp; a friend is going to sell me a almost new Xantrex charger, if I install it the same way I remove the WFCO charger using the same inputs for the 12 volts &amp; the same output for the 120 volts. Do I have the same setup or have I changed the Xantrex to a converter or am I even asking the correct question? THanks

It is a charger model tc 6012, 60 amps I have a 30 amp rv &amp; a 55 amp wfco with 2 6 volt interstate battries

60 amp TrueCharge 2 will work fine as a converter.  Far better charging than the WFCO.  Although I have read the fan may run continuous if that is an issue.

Xantrex TC 6012 installation instructionsBTW, charger has 120V input and 12+V output, same as your WFCO and all other RV converters.
