What is difference in cost and warranty between the 2 options.....reman or new?
IF new is using thicker walled tubing then I would be inclined to go that direction.
20 yr (+) old fridges are still functioning because they were built using thicker walled tubing.
10 yr (-) old have a higher failure rate.....thinner tubing used/poorer quality welding
