The RV isn't moving and the nearest service facility is about 50 miles away so a tech isn't an option. I called and talked to the guy that manufactures the new 'Amish' replacements. He was the person that said the heat probably did it in. After researching, it makes a lot of sense.
I'm on an off-grid solar system that produces about 1300 watts peak. I created a device to turn the inverter on/off depending on the panel output. In the hot season, it runs my AC when I'm not there. When it's not hot, I run the refrigerator on auto. It gets 120v during the day then propane at night.
Warranty on a new unit is 5 years. Warranty on refurbished units are 2-3 years and coverage varies. Some are worded "defects in manufacturing" vs. leak.
