Copper sleeve?

If you have a 1/0 copper cable,
then swaged a dead soft copper sleeve reducer over/onto to this 1/0 copper cable to fit a #2 awg sized cable fitting, would the resistance be higher or lower?

  • Ozlander,

I think, I would have to clip off more than a few strands, as the intended copper cable I plan on using has 5145 strands of tin coated copper cable. ;)

I know, I'll have several bends to make from the battery box area to the CC, and this cable seems to be extra flexible etc.

    See info here,

  • This is what the voltage sense wire is for.
Use it with #4/#2 main connection and you are fine.
Battery will be hit with the exact voltage you program.
