There is a small metal temp sensor at the top center of the ice tank bin. When the ice reaches it the control board stops the process. If it works at home the true sine inverter must not be be very true. That being said my buddy ran his on a modified sine inverter for years. It worked fine even though the manual said to use only true sine power.
