i think Honda has 6000w, with a hefty price, but is a superb genset

The typical kit's on ebay for the gx 200 series engins include a flywheel with ring gear a starter motor and a keyswitch/solinoid box. they run around $90.00
The price for me is low enough that the risk of throing my money away wont hurt 2 badly if I am wrong. I realize that this is a new model from cpe I think I will call cpe and see if I can get some answers from tech support.

I can't say for sure, but based on the parts diagram in the manual available online for the generator, I don't think you'll be able to add an electric starter. The flywheel does not appear to have ring gear teeth, as is common in many small engines, so there's no way for the starter motor crank the engine. Maybe that's just a limitation of the detail in the drawing.

At any rate, the chance of any odd starter working without at least some fabrication of brackets etc. is pretty slim indeed.

I can't find the percent of Harmonic Distortion on your unit. Makes be nervous when its over 3% and I'm using it for my RV.

Is this the 4000 peak/3500 running model? I don't believe its an inverter and fairly noisy at 68 dba. Sure you want this one?
