Cycling shore pwr contactor

2013 Itasca Meridian 34B

Surge Guard ATS 41260
Precision Circuits Power Control System 50A

We have had occasional rapid cycling of the shore pwr contactor when running the rear A/C and microwave. Once it cycled while running A/C alone. It appears to be due to over current or under voltage. It does not occur consistently. Usually after the A/C has been running for a while. It does not happen with the loads on the generator or when running front A/C. Shore power voltage is between 118 and 124. It has only occurred while at the current rv park. We did move to different site and it happened again.

Is this issue familiar to anyone and what was determined to be the cause?

What I call a contact or is a an electrical device that uses control power to change the position of the electrical contacts that pass power from one place to another. Circuit breakers are usually only open shut or tripped. They are generally manually operated.

Generally shore power has a circuit breaker that will trip but not cycle rapidly.
I thought the Surge Guard had a reconnect delay or is this what is cycling?
Is rapid 10 times a second, or once a minute? Something else?
Any error code on the Surge Guard or Power Control System?

X2. I have no idea what a shore power contactor is.

  • Loose connection.
Inspect all connections and contacts in that leg of power and double check the neutral.
