Only in PD's marketing gobbeldy gook does 14.4v for 15 minutes applied every 18 hours from 13.2v storage mode, equate to equalization.
It is more of a destratification.
I do think PD's manual override of voltage stages, make it a good converter, but marketing destratification as a magical desulfating 'equalization' is amoral, misleading and deceiving.
Equalization is a forced overcharge at voltages way over absorption voltages.
Yes, but "equalization" is also different from "desulphation" although the technique is the same (high voltage).
"Equalization" is actually more of a localized "desulphation" where you want individual cells to be desulphated to the same degree if one or more is out of whack with the others. "Desulphation" is to get them all done up better.
I think? it has been established that the "pulse" method of desulphation, which does not raise the voltage, does not work in real life, after a good try to do it that way. That leaves the high voltage way as the only method known to work.
