Mine said every 20 hours. I never saw it happen. But then I had a pretty large bank (875 amp-hours), so it may have been "over matched".

It is more of a destratification.
I do think PD's manual override of voltage stages, make it a good converter, but marketing destratification as a magical desulfating 'equalization' is amoral, misleading and deceiving.
Equalization is a forced overcharge at voltages way over absorption voltages.
