Dertermine Rear End Gear Ratio
Is there a way to determine what rear end gear ratio (4.10, 3.73, 3.55) etc is actually in your truck. Sticker on glove box says 3.55 but I have reason to believe that the gears may have been changed...

1. Chock the wheels.
2. Engine OFF, transmission in neutral.
3. Put a piece of white tape on the drive shaft.
4. Another piece of white tape on one of the drive wheels.
5. Jack up the wheel with the tape.
6. While counting the turns of the drive shaft, turn the wheel 10 turns.
7. The number of turns of the drive shaft will be 10 times the gear ratio.
Easy as 3.14159265
