Dertermine Rear End Gear Ratio
Is there a way to determine what rear end gear ratio (4.10, 3.73, 3.55) etc is actually in your truck. Sticker on glove box says 3.55 but I have reason to believe that the gears may have been changed...

Tape a length of string to the side of the driveshaft. Mark a wheel and drive one revolution forward. You should be able to tell within a quarter of a turn how much the string has wrapped around the driveshaft.
