I looked at the web site instructions and it didn't seem to say. Other threads seem to point to it being ok. If clean it should bond to itself. I'd vote to give it another go if you think you got sufficient amounts penetrated where it needed to go. Then simply a thicker coat may help out.
All that said, you can eyeball it and see for yourself if you like the seal and strength of the current seal. That stuff is darn near impossible to mess up because of its properties, ie it will find its way to the cracks and holes.
